What each product actually carries

We state the standard on the product page and supply the paperwork we hold. If a marking is not on file for a model, we say so — a certificate you cannot produce at the border is worse than no certificate.

Standards we build against

StandardScopeWhere it applies
SAE J595Directional flashing warning devices for emergency vehiclesGrille, surface-mount and dash lights sold into the US
SAE J845Optical warning devices for authorized emergency vehiclesLightbars
ECE R65Special warning lamps for motor vehiclesModels sold into EU markets
ECE R10Electromagnetic compatibilityAll powered units sold into the EU
CE / RoHSEU market access and restricted substancesAll units shipped to the EU
IP67Dust-tight and protected against water immersionSealed housings; stated per model

The governing standard for a specific model is the one printed on its product page. Where a model is not yet tested to a standard in this table, its page will not claim it.

What we can send you

  • Declaration of conformity for the models you are buying, on company letterhead.
  • Test reports we hold from third-party laboratories, per model.
  • RoHS / REACH statements for the materials used in housings, lenses and harnesses.
  • HS classification and country of origin for customs — HS 8512.20.20 for our lighting units.

Request them at support@911rep.com with the model list and your market. Allow one business day.

What we do not do

We do not sell a light as "DOT approved" when the standard does not apply to it, and we do not issue a certificate for a market we have not tested for. If your jurisdiction requires a marking we do not carry, we will tell you before you order — legality of use rests with the buyer, and we would rather lose the sale than have your vehicles grounded at inspection.
